Our Commitment to Truth and Reconciliation

The Dental Compliance & Safety Association (DCAS) acknowledges the profound and ongoing impacts of colonialism and systemic injustices experienced by First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples across Canada. We recognize that equitable access to safe, respectful healthcare—including dental care—is a fundamental component of reconciliation.

Within our role as a compliance and safety organization, we are committed to advancing the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action, particularly those focused on healthcare equity and cultural safety. Through intentional listening, learning, and sustained collaboration with Indigenous partners, we strive to ensure our safety standards, resources, and educational strategies contribute to clinical environments where Indigenous practitioners and patients are met with absolute dignity, respect, and safety.
